The Double Slit Experiment

Continuing with science as a source, I use this image to explore the wave/particle duality of light. Light photons here being represented by the figure. Again a very interesting subject worth exploring. As you can see the figure, always my favorite subject has begun to incorporate itself into the architecture.

Just Listen

After seeing the episode on the history channel about the big bang I decided to incorporate the ghostly image of the Bell telescope used to detect the background radiation that helped solidify the Big Bang theory. (I suggest a brief research on the subject to truly appreciate the recent history of science.) Over all the image explores the long uncertain roads traveled in science to discover that elusive truth.

Inherit

This is the launching piece that directs my work to seek inspiration in the sciences. The image invokes evolution iconography as a statement of the solid structure of science demonstrating the fragility of superstition.

Leaf Me Alone

This was made as at the request of my aunt for her new home. The request was for a simple leaf i decided that was too simple and looked at Mark Tansey for inspiration.

Museum to Remember

Again I want to explore the architecture, this time incorporating the figure. Using the idea of museum as retrospective i used picture =s that were made available at the time of my father and his father along with my mothers father.

WINTER/SUMMER

After illustrating literary text in such a minimal way I decided to take the step into more complex drawings that incorporate architecture. This is mostly to train myself to be patient and explore a subject I was not too confident in depicting.

BORGES-"The Encounter"

This illustration, along with the ones bellow are inspired by the short stories, that share the same name as the image, written by Jorge Luis Borges

BORGES-"The Other Duel"

BORGES "Juan Murano"

BORGES-"The Interloper"

This was the first time I used ImageOn to create an etching
